Fire
Groove™ was founded by siblings Kamala,
Hannah and Lester.
The three were raised in a small supportive community
of friends and family, who encouraged them to
follow their hearts and make a difference in the
world. As they grew, their interests, dreams,
and goals began to interweave leading them to
yoga and fire dancing.
Fire
Groove™ is dedicated to building an environment
where like-minded individuals may come together
to express themselves through creative movement
and healing arts. An environment where each of
us may share our experiences, offer encouragement,
and provide support and love to one another through
all of life's challenges… community! We want to
provide a place that inspires each of us to begin
realizing our life paths, turning dreams into
realities, and bringing love and laughter into
each of our daily lives.

Hannah
Yoga is at the core of Hannah's life. She took her
first class in college and completed her first teacher
training with Erich Shiffman in 2003. Yoga has helped
Hannah to develop and cultivate her innate nurturing
touch, deep patience, and strong intuition and these
qualities are the base of what makes her the wonderful
teacher she is today. As
a fire dancer, Hannah is remembered for a graceful,
sensual, and rhythmic performance. She discovered
the bliss of true self-expression through dance
at a very young age and has been entranced with
fire dancing from the moment she first saw it. Hannah's
mesmerizing style and fiery elegance is not easily
forgotten. She specializes in poi, staff, double
staff, hoop, fans, flag dancing, fire eating/painting
and wing dancing. In addition to holding a B.A.
in History and a minor in French from the University
of Oregon, Hannah has extensive experience in marketing,
accounting and costume design. |

Kamala
Kamala's loving heart, intuitive spirit, and healing
abilities have drawn people to her since she was
a child. She began practicing yoga in the mid 90's
to relieve stress and migraines, and rapidly began
to notice the healing benefits of yoga. It made
such a dramatic impact in her own life; she realized
her calling to share these gifts with others. Kamala
received her teacher certification at the White
Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. Fire dancing
came naturally to Kamala with her solid background
in dance and yoga. Her rhythmic dance style has
been described as beautiful, sultry, and exotic,
manipulating every fire tool with skill, precision
and grace. It's been said that we are spiritual
beings having a human experience. Kamala will remind
you of your spirit and guide you with patience,
understanding, intuitive touch, and mellifluous
words. The strength and passion that she exudes
for her arts is absolutely contagious. Kamala is
a licensed esthetician and has been a make-up artist
for over 10 years. She also specializes in public
relations, marketing and costume design. |

Lester
Lester has always been drawn towards the spotlight.
Growing up as the youngest in a family of four
kids he strived to be at the same level as his
older siblings throughout all of their creative
outlets. Realizing that he was blessed with the
gift of balance and agility he first took to skateboarding
and snowboarding to express himself. He was introduced
to the art of fire dancing at the Oregon Country
Fair and has been enthralled by its beauty and
mesmerizing movement ever since. Today Lester
is known for his jaw-dropping performances as
he takes fire dancing to unimaginable new heights.
He spreads the knowledge that he has learned openly
and continually seeks inspiration from those open
to sharing. He specializes in the double staff,
contact staff, and poi and has recently been developing
his hoop groove. Lester has a B.S. in International
Business and a minor in International and Comparative
politics from Oregon State University. He has
many roles within the company, but focuses on
product development.

Jade
As the first born into a traveling gypsy
family Jade discovered his love for the
arts at the early age of 8. He spent the
next decade studying jazz singing, abstract
theater, dance and martial arts and at 19,
he discovered fire dancing. Made curious
by everything this art had to offer, he
immersed himself in it. It all climaxed
one stormy night on a beach in Thailand
where he lit up for the first time. Since
then, Jade has performed all over the West
Coast as well as in Europe, Asia and Central
America. A single staff spinner by nature,
he has broadened his horizons to include
poi, double staves, contact staff, partners
staff and rope dart. After teaching classes
in Eugene Oregon for the past few years
Jade has moved to Los Angeles to fully join
the Fire Groove family. Jade's passion for
fire is exuded through his teaching styles.
He brings both laughter and playfulness
into each class while providing clear guidance
through each move. His specialties with
Fire Groove lie in marketing, product development,
and human relations.
