Practice
Poi
|

Our
practice poi are a must for
those just getting started! The basic
design means less tangling and more
smooth spinning. Made with colorful
nylon rip-stop fabric and a sturdy
cotton liner, our bean bag style poi
are built to last. We use grommets
to prevent fraying and adjustable
leashes which offer the ability to
experiment with different lengths.
The leashes are connected to the poi
using small quick links making them
interchangeable with any other poi
head. Each set comes with single loop
handles made from soft nylon webbing,
these are the same handles used on
our fire poi. Our poi are the perfect
weight; just heavy enough to feel
the momentum yet light enough to create
softer impacts. We are temp out of
pink.

Flag dancing is absolutely mesmerizing and
it is the perfect solution for daytime and
blacklight spinning or when fire is not
appropriate. Flags are large pieces of weighted
fabric that use similar movements to spinning
poi. Our flags are sold as a set of two
and are approximately 41" x 34".
Choose from shimmery metallic gold, silver,
red, purple or blacklight reactive pink
or yellow.
Holding
Flags: You'll notice that the weighted cord
runs along two sides of the flags, a long
side and a shorter side. To hold the flags
pinch the fabric about 3/4 of the way down
the long weighted side. The weighted corner
will act as your poi head.
Helpful
Hints: Start with just one flag to get the
feel for it. With practice you can do almost
all poi moves with flags. Keep in mind that
flags can get wrapped up in your hands so
it's best to continually spin from a forward
move to a backward move i.e. forward
weave to backward weave (warrior).

Socks
Only
Socks + Poi Heads
Socks + Practice Poi

|
Sock
poi are fun for beginners and essential
for advanced spinners working on moves such
as hyperloops and tangles. Our socks are
made from a durable and slightly stretchy
fabric. Each set comes with a large opening
in the middle of the seam which makes it
easy to pop in any type of weight that you
like. You can buy just the socks and add
your own weight, you can buy socks and our
poi head for weight, or you can buy socks
and a full set of practice poi. This last
option is great because when practicing,
you can easily switch between spinning your
sock poi and spinning your practice poi.
Holding Your Sock Poi: Pinch the knot with
your thumb and fore finger. If the sock
poi are too long, you can take a wrap or
two by spinning backward circles, stick
your hands out and let the socks wrap once
or twice around the palms then pinch again.

Cathedral
Fire Poi
|
|
Stacked
like an accordion these Cathedral
style fire poi give the maximum airflow
creating a very bright, equal flame
throughout the entire head. Kevlar
overlaps the bottom of the poi so
there's no exposed metal hardware
to worry about. We use the strongest
industrial grade #15 stainless steel
ball chain and heavy-duty quick links.
Our single loop handles are made with
soft nylon webbing. If you would like
twist link chain or swivels please
view our parts
section to build your own customized
set.
All length measurements include only
the chain & connectors, not the
poi head or the handles. Here's a
general guide based on your height
that will help you chose your length
if you are unsure:
5'6" = Small (17 inches)
5'9" = Medium (19 inches)
5'12" = Large (21 inches)

Bullet
Fire Poi

The
Bullet style fire poi are your ultimate
low profile high performance poi.
The tight weave retains more fuel
during spin-off making them burn longer.
The unique aerodynamic hexagonal shape
of the Bullet Poi allow you to do
tighter and trickier moves without
having to worry about hitting yourself.
Kevlar overlaps the bottom of the
poi so there's no exposed metal. We

Quadra-Fold
Fire Poi

Our
Quadra-Fold Fire Poi are similar to
Cathedral Poi except that they have
a tighter fold which will retain more
fuel when spun off, allowing them
to burn longer. Kevlar overlaps the
bottom of the poi so there's no exposed
metal hardware to worry about.

Our
double wick poi are the perfect way to add
a little extra something to your performance.
Each wick is made with 3 feet of 2" wide
Kevlar wrapped around aluminum tubing. This
design is much lighter than Cathedral style
double wicks making them more comfortable
to spin and easier on your body. We use the
strongest industrial grade #15 stainless steel
ball chain and heavy-duty quick links. Our
single loop handles are made with soft nylon
webbing.

Looking
for even more fire? Our triple wicks are just
what you need! They are constructed just like
the double wick poi (3 feet of 2" wide
kevlar wrapped around aluminum tubing) with
another wick added to the end. And of course
we use the strongest industrial grade #15
stainless steel ball chain and heavy-duty
quick links. Our single loop handles are made
with soft nylon webbing.

Angel
Wings are great because with one wrap of the
chain the Wings land in your hand like clubs
and with clubs you have a whole new range
of options! The Wings are 15 inches long made
from 7/8" aluminum tubing and wrapped
with extra absorbent grip. Each head is made
from 3 feet of Kevlar and one foot of wick
that spirals upward. We use the strongest
industrial grade #15 stainless steel ball
chain and heavy-duty quick links. Our single
loop handles are made with soft nylon webbing
(originally constructed for rock climbing,
this is the strongest material available).

Holding
Your Poi
Our single loop handles are carefully
made with soft nylon webbing, originally
constructed for rock climbing, this is the
strongest and most comfortable material
available.
1) Pinch the handle with your two peace
fingers.
2) Using your other hand, turn the top of
the handle over once, drop it over your
two fingers.
3)
Wiggle them around a little until the handle
fits snugly at the base of your fingers.
The "Pinch" Grip
There are several different ways you
can hold your poi. The most common is a
"pinch" grip. Just pinch the handle
between your thumb and forefinger and swing.
This grip gives you the most control when
spinning poi.

|
|
| |
|
Poi
Length
Drop the handle over your thumb and
extend your arm. The poi head should just
reach your armpit. If it extends beyond
the armpit, shorten your poi. If it doesn't
quite reach your armpit, lengthen your poi.
To Lengthen Your Poi
Find the ring in the middle of your poi
leash. Loosen the knot just above the ring.
Pull the cord that is attached to the quicklink
upward then readjust your knot.
To Shorten Your Poi
Find the ring in the middle of your poi
leash. Loosen the knot just above the ring.
Pull
the cord that is attached to the handle
down then readjust your poi.
